The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday dashed the city's hopes of keeping its long-standing, legally challenged noise ordinance. The country's highest court decided not to hear the city's appeal of a Virginia Supreme Court decision that found the city's noise law was too vague, relied too heavily on a police officer's opinion and was unconstitutional.
